City council may prevent Sons of Confederate Veterans from participating in parade

The city council is considering a resolution to preventing the Sons of Confederate Veterans from participating in the Veterans Day parade.  Council member Ora Houston said she takes issue with the council's desire to exclude any group.

Houston, the only black member of the council, says they are still veterans, whether or not the council agrees with what they stood for.
