Columbus Crew owner pens open letter to Mayor and city council

As Austin City Council considers whether or not to allow city-owned land to be developed into an MLS soccer stadium, the owner of the Columbus Crew Anthony Precourt said in an open letter to council "The project will redevelop and revitalize an underutilized, vacant site into a community gathering area where Austinites can enjoy the thrill of sport, a variety of live events, festivals, and other cultural activities."

Precourt said in the past ten months they've gone too far and worked too hard to let this opportunity go.  He also said that he is satisfied with the revised proposal, which was taken from the input and feedback within the Austin community.
