A drunk driver trying to evade Austin Police Saturday night nearly hits two horseback mounted officers and now faces multiple felony charges.
Police records say 31-year-old Ghofran Yousef Omran Al Saaidi was pulled over on Rainey Street and appeared to follow police commands when he gunned his car and sped away.
Officers stopped him on Red River and arrested him.
