5. SBOE TO TACKLE NEW SEX ED STANDARDS

The State Board of Education will be looking at rewriting its sex education standards today for the first time since the 1990s.  Texas has historically been known for taking an abstinence-only approach, but Dan Quinn with the Texas Freedom Network says there’s no evidence sex ed leads to more promiscuity.
