More than 200 demonstrators turned up at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on Sunday to protest the executive orders of President Trump that place a temporary ban on immigration from seven nations deemed at high-risk for terrorism.

The protest was held outside of the airport.

Among those in attendance was District 4 city council member Greg Casar, who has pulled no punches in his dislike of President Trump and his policies over immigration.  Casar has been at the forefront of the movement in Austin and Travis County to defy federal immigration law.  The council member says the city manager will soon be giving the council the tools it needs to battle back the Trump administration, but didn't go into specifics.

More than a dozen attorneys also joined the protest.

Flights were not affected.
