The first ever Keep Austin Fed Week kicked off on Sunday, July 7, 2019.

“Our historical costs show that for only $7/month we have been able to rescue enough food to feed an individual 3 meals a day, every day” says Lisa Barden, Executive Director of Keep Austin Fed. “We are excited to share this message with Austin."

According to Barden, the goal of the campaign is to raise awareness for what is known as food insecurity, as well as food waste throughout Austin, and to offer people an affordable and meaningful way to help alleviate hunger in our community.

Donations for the campaign can be made any time:https://keepaustinfed.org/supportus.  Interested volunteers should visit the website at www.keepaustinfed.org or send an email to info@keepaustinfed.org.
