Ken Paxton calling for eight commission members be removed

Austin's Mayor Steve Adler promised to do something about bringing the Planning Commission into line with the city charter but so far he hasn't. Now Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is demanding the removal of eight members who have direct or indirect ties to real estate development. 

Attorney Fred Lewis who filed the motion to remove the commissioners commends the Attorney General for his quo  warranto action. The planning commission makes recommendations to City Council on the land use rules rewrite CodeNEXT.
