Legendary Austin radio broadcaster and musician Sammy Allred has died

Longtime legendary Austin radio broadcaster and musician Sammy Allred has died.  Allred was a country music star in the late 50s and early 60s before he entered broadcasting in 1969 on KVET-FM and was later paired with Bob Cole in 1990 before being fired in 2007. Allred was 84, no cause of death was given.
