A neighborhood group charges Austin City Council to be again favoring developers over residents in Northwest Austin. Last year Council secretly granted variances to the developers of a huge apartment complex on 2222 and 360 which is supposed to be protected by an 80s era Scenic Highway ordinance. Lake Austin Collective sued the city and won; but their Linda Bailey says even so, that land has gotten extra entitlements over the years.

Council will hold off any further action on the Champion tract until February.
