A new survey shows many Americans are not saving money even for emergencies. Greg McBride with Bankrate says nearing one in five people end up putting emergencies on credit cards. He says the lower the yearly income the more likely someone will use a credit card rather than cash to deal with a financial emergency, while people who make over $50 thousand a year are more likely to use cash.
