2. PERRY SUBPOENAED IN IMPEACHMENT PROBE

House Democrats have subpoenaed Energy Secretary Rick Perry as part of their impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump's dealings with Ukraine...The House Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Oversight and Reform committees sent Perry a subpoena Thursday asking him to provide documents related to a Ukrainian state-owned energy company as well as his involvement in a July call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

4. COUNCIL LOOKING FOR ANSWERS TO HOMELESSNESS

Councilmember Ann Kitchen says Council will be taking up Homelessness issues in next week's Council meeting, well before Governor Greg Abbott's November 1st deadline, WHEN he sends in state agencies work on homelessness.'  In his latest letter to Austin's Mayor, Governor Greg Abbott says he agrees with an APD recommendation to reinstate the public camping ban while the city puts together a solution to the crisis.

5. APD LOOKS INTO DOWNTOWN BURGLARIES

Austin Police are investigating a string of burglaries at downtown residences and need the public's help identifying suspects. APD Officer Destiny Silva says 22 burglaries have occurred at condos and apartment complexes since July.

"In all of these burglaries, the same type of entry method has been used, and the same type of property has been taken," Silva says.

Silva says small valuable items were stolen and although doors were locked, the burglars used tools like crowbars to gain entrance.
