Police academy concerns acknowledged by council

The Austin City Council today acknowledged the concern from Austin police that suspending the police academy over allegations of racism could exacerbate an already short staff.  Fairly unmoved, however, the council says if APD doesn't want to see its vacancies grow, it has to prove that it is addressing those allegations accordingly.
