School Closures and Delays for Friday

Despite a very light dusting of snow which will be fully melted by later this morning, several school districts and other campuses in Central Texas have decided to cancel classes for today.  Others will be operating on a delayed schedule along with their bus service:

  • Manor ISD
  • Prairie Lea ISD
  • Texas School For The Deaf 
  • IDEA Public Schools
  • Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts

DELAYS:

  • Comal ISD
  • Giddings ISD
  • Johnson City ISD
  • Dime Box ISD
  • Jubilee Academy Schools
  • La Grange ISD
  • Luling ISD
  • New Braunfels ISD
  • Pflugerville ISD
  • San Marcos CISD
  • Smithville ISD
  • Athlos Leadership Academy
  • San Marcos Academy
  • Wells Branch Leadership Academy

COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES:

  • University of Texas will begin at 10:00 a.m.
  • Austin Community College will begin at 10:00 a.m.
  • St. Edward's University will begin at 10:00 a.m.
  • Huston-Tillotson University will begin at 10:00 a.m.

The Lake Travis Independent School District, Round Rock Inependent School District, and Hutto Independent School District all say they've monitored the conditions overnight and will be beginning classes at their normal times.  All bus routes in those districts will also be operating normally.
