Teacher complaints go up

The number of Texas teachers being investigated for inappropriate relationships with students is soaring; in fact it’s up 42 percent over the last year. Part of the reason may be due to a law passed in the 2017 legislature that strengthened reporting requirements at the district level. Laura Callahan with the Texas education agency says now if a district fails to report and the agency learns about it, the superintendent and principal can be sanctioned.
