Texas is siding with the 5 largest oil companies in fighting a Washington State lawsuit that claims they knowingly contributed to climate change and its environmental impact. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined an 11-state coalition in filing a friend-of-the-court brief defending the oil companies.
The King County suit calls for the oil companies to pay for adapting infrastructure such as storm-water management, as well as salmon recovery.
