Tow fees still an issue

Private towing companies will have to wait a bit longer for an answer about increased fees:

In June, the Austin City Council approved raising the rates for towing fees in public spaces.  Councilmember Greg Casar explains:

Private companies almost immediately spoke out because the increased rates only apply to public sector contractors.  This week, the council was expected to vote on the private tow fee increase following a recommendation from the Urban Transportation Commission to bump it up to $185.  However, that vote has now been pushed back until the next council meeting planned for September.
