Traffic could cost jobs

Austin’s traffic woes may be impacting employee retention rates. A survey by Austin-based Robert Half Staffing Agency shows bad commutes are driving a lot of people to up and quit their jobs.  That survey finds one quarter of workers have resigned because of commute issues, and the agency’s Lindsey Kedy says 60-percent of respondents don’t feel their company is willing to help ease the burden.

Mayor Steve Adler has tried to make public transportation a priority, and some of the solutions drummed up by city leaders have recommended telecommuting whenever possible.
