A new county study finds the current minimum of $13 is only barely enough for a single person to get by, but not nearly enough for a couple, or a couple with kids.

Austin recently enacted its own $15 minimum for employees.  This would not come without a cost to taxpayers though.  

A $15 minimum wage would require$755,000 more in spending every year in the county budget.
