The Travis County Tax Office’s McKinney Falls Parkway branch will not open Tuesday, Sept. 18, due to a broken air conditioning unit.
“Our staff is ready, the office supervisor is ready, but the office air conditioning decided take a vacation,” said Bruce Elfant, the county’s tax assessor-collector. “We’re disappointed we will not be open tomorrow, but the county’s facilities department is working diligently to fix the air conditioning problem.”
The office, which closed in May, planned to reopen Tuesday to serve customers in Southeast Travis County. The Pflugerville branch opened in July.
The Tax Office will send out a media advisory when the McKinney Falls Parkway branch is set to open.
