The holidays can be fun, but also stressful when you are spending money on gifts. Financial Expert Farnoosh Tarabi says the key is not spending money you don’t have.
She says a good rule is not to spend more that one or two percent of your yearly income. That means if you make $50,000 a year you shouldn’t spend more than $500 to $1,000 on holiday shopping.
She says next year, consider putting money aside every month just for holiday shopping to cut the stress.
