Man sentenced for using minors to produce porn

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A federal judge has sentenced a San Antonio man to 95 years in prison for producing child pornography by using minors engaged in sexually explicit acts.

U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez sentenced 31-year-old Luis Moreno on Wednesday. He had pleaded guilty in August to charges that include 12 counts of production of child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say that on various occasions from April 2010 to just before his arrest in September 2011, Moreno used minors to produce visual depictions of sex acts.

They say he initially used his cell phone to record the acts. Once the memory on the phone was full, he used a children's electronic game device to store and distribute hundreds of images.

Moreno is forbidden from contacting any of the children used to commit his crimes.
