They say a nine year old boy was lured into a car…but…acting on a tip, officers found the kidnapper and rescued the boy in the parking lot of a grocery store on the city’s southeast side.
Homeland Security said the man planned to ‘sell’ the boy in laredo or eagle pass. Immigrant smugglers are known to ‘rent’ children to people crossing the border illegally, so they can pass as a ‘family unit’ and possibly be released instead of held in a detention center.
The suspect is facing kidnapping and trafficking charges.
