Councilmember Natasha Harper-Madison was among them and said the way Mexico includes innovation in Education stuck with her. Councilmember said several businesses and industries showed a particular interest in setting up shop in Austin.
Harper-Madison said she is also hearing about similar education programs locally and will be working with staff to see if the lessons learned south of the border will turn into city resolutions.
The fact finding mission was supported by the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
