Austin’s Northwest side has a problem with police response times.
APD Commander Nick Wright says from their current sub station at Parker lane and lamp light village it could take up to 40 minutes without traffic to get to their farthest location in the sector. Councilmember Jimmy Flannigan says the city is working to bring a new station online.
The city spent almost 4-million on the land but there are no timelines for when it could possibly open.
