Health impacts to time change

Like it or not, you’ve lost an hour of your day. Ask almost anyone and they’ll tell you the “spring forward” time change can be especially brutal.  And doctors say there’s actually some truth to that.  Cardiologist with UT Health Dr. John Higgins says the first week following the time change is typically a deadly one with an increase in heart attacks.

Car crashes also tend to spike during this week.  As has been the case for numerous legislative sessions, a bill has been filed to end daylight savigns time, but, as usual, it’s not likely to gain any traction.
