Two men are hospitalized Monday morning following an overnight shooting in South Austin.
The two men, both of whom are said to be homeless, have potentially life-threatening injuries, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
The two men were seen coming out of the woods, near the Cannon Place Apartments, covered in blood and pleading for help. The men say they were asleep under a bridge when they were shot in the upper torso, according to the Austin Police Department.
Because the area is so dark, the men have been unable to give police a descrpition of their attacker. APD’s violent crime unit and K9 unit are still searching the area for clues.
