The Austin Police Department remains without a contract, but the same can no longer be said for Cedar Park PD, which now has had its new contract approved by the city council. Cedar Park Managing Director Darren Butler said one of the highlights is a far more competitive starting salary for new officers.
First year pay is now more than $58,000. In a tweet, Chief Sean Mannix said he’s pleased with this contract which he believes will make the city an even safer place to live.
