Jury tampering waived, Criner's attorney's still ask for new trial

Attorneys for Meechiael Criner have agreed to waive allegations of jury tampering, but are still moving forward with a motion for a retrial.  Criner is currently serving a life sentence for killing Haruka Weiser on the UT campus.

Attorney Ariel Payan said there’s new evidence showing someone logged on to Criner’s computer at the same time cameras show someone on a bike following Weiser.

The judge has until October 4 to decide on a new trial.
