Among this resolution’s co-sponsors is Mayor Steve Adler, who has come out strongly this year against any separation of illegal immigrant children from their parents, nor their detainment.
Tomorrow, council is set to pass a resolution stating that any organization in Austin who may have helped facilitate those separations will no longer be eligible for any financial assistanct from the city. Back in February, council decided to block companies who have expressed interest in bidding on the construction of a border wall from bidding on any city-owned contracts.
