The former treasurer of the Austin Polish Society was booked into Williamson County Jail, accused of stealing more than $72 thousand dollars from the group for her own and her husband’s use.
Police records say an audit revealed 41-year-old Karolina Camara wrote unauthorized checks to herself over a period of four years. She faces felony theft charges.
