A Texas marijuana bill hit a road bump yesterday

The Texas House was supposed to take a vote on a bill that would decrease the penalties associated with being caught with less than an ounce of marijuana.

But State Representatives decided to break early leaving the bill out to hang. Texans for Responsible Marijuana Policy’s Heather Fazio still expects the bill to pass despite the delay, saying the bill still has alot of support on both sides of the aisle and growing support from Texans.

HB63 would reduce the penalty to a simple fine instead of an arrest, Fazio hopes the bill will see a vote early next week.
