The annual Point in Time count is now in the books. About 700 people scoured the city early Saturday morning to count the number of people living on the street. Mayor Steve Adler was among the volunteers and he tells KXAN he expects the city council to make some big moves this year to address the growing homeless crisis.
The results of this year’s count won’t be released for several weeks.
Last year the number was 2147, and this year’s number is expected to be higher than that.
