The latest report from the Austin Chamber of Commerce shows Austin added almost 24-thousand new jobs to the payrolls ovet the past 12 months, making us the 11th-faster growing metro in the nation.
The top three industries in the report are computer, managerial, and food service.
Unemployment is still very low in Austin. The Chamber’s numbers show around 36,500 unemployed, or about 3-percent, which is under the state and national average.
