Buda is the safest city in the Austin area according to a new report from the group Safewise. It put out a list of the 50 safest cities in Texas, and Buda ranked 15th on the list, the highest-ranking city in the Austin metro area. Hutto also made the list at number 32. Georgetown, Leander, Lakeway, Round Rock, and Cedar Park all were in the top 100. The report uses FBI crime data to come up with the rankings.
