City of Austin considers a non-radioactive hazardous material route through Pflugerville

And as one might expect, that isn’t sitting well with some members of the Pflugerville City Council, like Jeff Marsh, who said the Austin City Council doesn’t like the idea of running hazardous materials through Austin, so it wants to impose its will on smaller cities.

The plan would reroute hazardous materials off I-35 and onto SH 130 and because this route is federally mandated and has approval from agencies like TxDOT, Pflugerville can’t oppose it even it it wants to.
