It’s now day 3 of Austin’s citywide boil order, and among the positives, according to Mayor Steve Adler, the number of gallons being used has dropped to levels that are helping refill the reservoirs.
Adler said despite comments made by Travis County officials indicating the notice could last for up to two weeks, he expects it to be lifted by the weekend. Adler said the two week estimate that given to county commissioners was just a planning period, not a two week anticipated event.
