The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is on schedule to begin construction of two new toll lanes on Highway 183 by 2021. When finished, the tolls will be variable and will increase as traffic congestion builds. Director of Engineering Justin Word says it’s vital that they avoid a repeat of the Mopac Project, which was supposed to be complete in 2015.
The tolls will be open for use by 2025.
