Freshman lawmaker Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York proposed a 70{ca66fb341988ac76a9df8f691847a617f00d726cbd4990061cd88a48010f30bc} tax on Americans making more than $10-million a year. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Round Rock based Dell CEO Michael Dell was asked if he supported this…the crowd got off a few laughs before he did and reponded, “I’m not supportive of that.” He told the panel a tax of that size has never worked in any nation, and it wouldn’t work for America. “My wife and I set up a foundation…and we have contributed quite a bit more than a 70{ca66fb341988ac76a9df8f691847a617f00d726cbd4990061cd88a48010f30bc}.” Dell continued, he would never be comfortable allocating that much money directly to the federal government.
