A Statehouse amendment sends a ripple of fear through Austin’s film and creative industries.

The house re-budgeted the film incentive program to a minimum of 4.8 million dollars. But Austin area film studio president and Texas Motion Pictures Association rep Mindy Raymond says don’t panic, the fund is part of the governor’s economic development fund, which could grow in the Senate budget proposal.

Raymond hopes to see the incentives get 50-million of that. but doesn’t expect to see solid numbers until next month.
