As new technology changes they way people consume entertainment, the Film industry has to keep up to remain viable. Bastrop based New Republic Studio President Mindy Raymond admited, while they are still a young company, they have also positioned themselves with those changes in mind.
“There is so much happening, you have to be able to pivot and start from anew and if something doesn’t work…scrap it and go into something else.” said Raymond.
A recent New York Times article reported, film giant Paramount, has been suffering because its lagged behind in adapting. Raymond said New Republic is growing along with ideas about E-sports, Virtual reality and other immersive technology.
