Housing prices continue to rise

A new report shows 34-percent of households in Travis County spend more than 30-percent of income on housing alone.  Commissioner Jeff Travillion says it’s due in large part because of supply and demand:

He says the cost is being driven up by people moving from places with higher costs of living who see those prices and feel they’re getting a bargain, which creates a housing cost burden for local residents.
