Austin State Representative Donna Howard is urging state lawmakers to increase funding for special education as negotiations on the final version of the budget begin this week in a House/Senate Conference Committee. The Conference Committee is expected to begin negotiations tomorrow.
The state is facing fines for reducing spending on special education.
