The Lake Travis school district considers re-designing a key road leading into and out of the high school.
It’s simply a proposal at this point, but the idea would be to redesign Spillman Loop Road to facilitate entering and exiting of the high school driveway. That could include widening Spillman Loop into four lanes, especially where vehicles exit.
Facilities and construction manager Robert Winovitch says there’s also consideration of an overhaul of a key parking lot near the cafeteria that would add 240 spaces. If the board approves this next year, funding would come from contingency funds from a 2012 bond election.
