The Cedar Park Police say a missing person case is now considered a murder. Assistant Police Chief Mike Harmon says they were called to Amanda Gordon’s residence because she hadn’t been seen in a few days. There they met resistance from her common-law husband Samuel Roy Byrd, and after forcibly entering the house and questioning bird they believe Amanda is dead.

Byrd has been arrested and being held on drug charges, the search for Amanda’s body is continuing, and the couples two young children are safe.
