The Mobility Authority thinks it may have found a solution to the ongoing backups at Winstead Lane that popped up when the new toll lanes were opened. CTRMA’s Justin Word says simulations have shown giving Bee Cave Road its own dedicated exit lane might be the answer.
So, in other words, the plan involves a lengthy exit lane from Bee Cave all the way to 360, with virtually no negative impact to exiting at Barton Skyway. Word says computer models have shown it to have a tremendous positive impact on traffic flow.
CTRMA will begin a feasibility study next month.
