The Austin based group Texas Values plans to push for legislation to ban gender transitions involving children under age 18. The groups Mary Elizabeth Castle sees support for such a bill with State Lawmakers.
This issue came up because of a custody case in Dallas, where parents of a seven-year-old fought in court over his gender identity. Several state Republican leaders came to the aid of the father in that case who didn’t want his son to transition.
