New report puts Williamson County near the top of the state for health

Williamson County is among the healthiest in Texas, according to the latest county health rankings from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.  The Foundation’s Joe Marx authored the report, saying a big focus this year was on what he calls the “severe housing cost burden”.

Findings also show that, in most cases, the counties with higher costs of living had lower health rankings overall

Williamson County ranks 7th.

Travis County is 27th.
