New treatment for PTSD studied

The future of post-traumatic stress disorder treatment may be magnets, specifically magnetic waves focused on certain parts of the brain. Dr. Alan Peterson says this treatment has been used before on other things like depression.

He says if this works, it would offer a PTSD treatment that is non-invasive and doesn’t involve taking drugs.
