A University of Texas Aerospace and Mechanical engineer is applying his knowledge to diagnosing heart disease. Professor Thomas Hughes and his researchers have won a $550 thousand dollar NSF grant to develop noninvasive modeling to better detect the threat of heart attacks.
Hughes says they want to change how cardiovascular disease, the world’s number one killer, is diagnosed and treated.
