Reports of people illegally driving over the Mopac expressway barriers are popping up on social media and many residents are wondering what can be done.
CTRMA Officials say while it is against the law, inherently dangerous and has caused accidents in the past it doesn’t happen enough for them to spend money on it. They do believe you should make a police report. Austin Police Detective Patrick Oborski says they could help but only if they saw it happen.
CTRMA’s Steve Pustilnik is thankful this has’nt been too much of a problem. However APD said if someone does cross over the line and almost cause a crash, you should give 311 a call.
